1st this:
now this. (apparently it was a scam and bravo was not behind the posting.)
+ tonight i worked out (really worked out--as opposed to a short time on the elliptical or a walk) for the first time since we moved. i've gained about 4 pounds since the move, over the span of five months, which i realize isn't a lot at all, but my clothes are all too tight/just not right and i can't dress myself in the morning. my legs hurt already and it's only been 3 hours, but i'm glad.
+ gabe is snoring on the floor of the living room. i snore too, so hopefully he won't be bummed that i've mentioned his snoring. one time, in my early twenties some friends videotaped me snoring after a night out. my friend james said something about snoring like a man. and, when i was pregnant, gabe said the snoring was insane. he'd have to wake me up nightly to tell me to roll over.
+ tonight i saw a commercial for plaque attack, which is breath spray for cats and dogs. it reminded me that one of my brothers, at the age of nine, went through a short phase where he used binaca, because it's not chic to reek! i remember at least one occasion where he used the entire tube in less than a day. i didn't even know that they still make binaca, until i looked it up to post about it here. wondering though, who the hell gave him binaca? like did he go to the store and beg my mom to buy it for him like a normal kid might beg for candy? did he steal it from our dad? there are videos on their website but i'm scared to watch them.

links
i've not yet seen it but there is a new "between two ferns up." zach galifianakis interviews ben stiller. once we get through our two episodes of "the wire," i'll watch it. (we're now 2 episodes into season 3. gabe told me he wants to just get through it so he can watch something else.)

television
i'm obsessed with the wire. gabe and i have been working our way through season one. the other night, we finished episode eight and he went to bed. i stayed up to watch one more. then it turned into two more. even though i knew that ollie would be up in a few hours, i stayed up. if you haven't seen the wire and plan to, ignore the next part: in episode ten, the second one i stayed up to watch, kima gets shot. and oh my god, i was freaking out. my eyes welled with tears. for a few minutes i toyed with the idea of waking gabe up, to tell him the news about kima, but i knew he'd be less than amused so i didn't. i did text my brother and tried to get him to tell me if she dies. (his answer? watch it.) i've still yet to see the next episode. but i did check out the wire website. oh my god, she didn't die! (good news!) and, bubs doesn't get clean. (bad news!)
i've watched very little of the winter olympics. i'm watching them now. (right now we're watching the scottish brother and sister duo skating to lincoln park. i can't stop giggling. i just asked gabe if he'd skate like that with his sister. and he asked me if i'd skate like that with my brother. he's also telling me that they aren't going to do well. the judges aren't going to like this. apparently gabe knows quite a bit about figure skating.) back to the olympics -- i've been way too busy to watch the olympics. what with kell on earth, the wire, real housewives of the oc, big love, and how to make it in america, how could i squeeze in the olympics?
and two more things about figure skating. is it just me or are the outfits worse than ever?
why are all the women skaters blowing kisses at the camera?
elsewhere:
zero to three is so cool. you can pick a toddler's age and then read about their brain development. neat!
rummey bears is a darling blog, with good taste.

i heart kenan thompson. jean k. jean is my favorite weekend update guest.
ollie and i went to the academy of sciences this weekend with my girlfriend and her daughter. i really want to check out nightlife.
i love our farmer's market. the past couple weeks it's been all about apples and tomatoes. i'm going to be sad after november 22 when it goes on hiatus for the winter.
sundays with my boys are the best: we wake up, have breakfast, ollie naps, then we go the market. after the market we go the playground behind the de young in golden gate park. sundays are good and slow.
goodbye weekend. here's to a good week!

project runway
i'm not so sure what i think of the new project runway cast. i'm only 5 minutes in but it kinda feels like i'm watching the surreal life with out the "celebrities." i keep waiting for charo and brigitte to show up.
